Flatten PDF Forms Online (Fillable to Non-Fillable)

Turn fillable fields, checkboxes and drop-down lists into fixed page content, on your device.

How to flatten a fillable PDF form

  1. Choose your filled-in PDF form, or drag and drop it onto the page.
  2. Keep “Flatten forms” checked and click “Clean the PDF”: your browser flattens the fields locally, nothing is uploaded.
  3. Download the flattened, non-fillable PDF.

Why convert files in your browser?

No upload wait

Processing starts the moment you select a file. Nothing has to travel to a server and back, so even large batches are quick.

Total confidentiality

Private photos, contracts and bank statements stay on your device. No one else, including us, ever sees them.

Nothing stored on a server

Your files are never copied to a server, so they can’t leak in a breach, be kept longer than you think, or be reused.

Frequently asked questions

Why flatten a fillable PDF before sharing?

Some phone and email viewers don’t display form fields, so a filled-in form can look blank. Flattening also stops the recipient from editing your answers, and many offices, banks and print shops ask for it.

Can someone edit fields after flattening?

Not as form fields: the values become ordinary page content. Like any PDF, the page can still be altered with a full PDF editor, so keep your original for important documents.

Is it safe for legal and tax forms?

Your file is processed on your device and never sent to a server. Note that existing digital signatures become plain images and can no longer be verified, so flatten first and sign afterwards.

Are comments and annotations flattened too?

No. The tool flattens form fields: text fields, checkboxes, radio buttons and drop-down lists. Comments and other annotations are left as they are.
