What PouchFiles does

PouchFiles converts iPhone HEIC photos to JPG, PNG or WebP, merges, cleans, flattens and redacts PDFs, and removes image backgrounds.

• HEIC converter: HEIC and HEIF to JPG, PNG or WebP
• PDF tools: merge, clean and flatten, redact
• Background remover: transparent, solid colour or blurred background

Why no server

Most online converters upload your file to a server, process it there and send it back. PouchFiles removes that step: the site only delivers the application code, and the processing happens on your device.

This matters most for documents you would not want to hand to a third party, such as IDs, contracts, payslips or medical records.

How it works

Each tool uses a processing engine compiled to WebAssembly or written in JavaScript, running in a Web Worker so the page stays responsive: libheif for HEIC images, pdf-lib and PDF.js for PDFs, and the IMG.LY background removal model run by ONNX Runtime Web for backgrounds.

The engine files are served from this site. No file content is sent to any other service.
